The character of Ron Weasley was originally intended to be very foul-mouthed, constantly swearing and such. However, Rowling’s publishers wouldn’t allow her to use that type of language for the young reading audience and she acquiesced to those demands. The actor who plays Ron in the films, Rupert Glint, did a rap for his audition!
