Interesting fact:

J.K. Rowling considered giving the magic-hating Dudley Dursley a child with magical powers in the epilogue of the final novel. It was envisioned that Harry would run into him as he waved his own child off on the Hogwarts Express. Rowling later binned the idea after deciding that the Dursley’s were far too anti-wizard to have any magical DNA running through them.
