Spoiler alert! The character Arthur Weasley is another who thankfully survived the cull as Rowling was deciding who should make it through the story alive. Weasley was originally intended to be killed following the attack from Nagini in “Order Of The Phoenix,” but was kept alive as he represented a strong father figure which the author felt was important.
