Interesting fact:

As part of preparation for a state visit by Nicolae Ceausescu, the Romanian President from 1974 to 1989, Queen Elizabeth II demanded that the guest rooms of Buckingham Palace be stripped of valuables out of fear for their being stolen. She even went on later to describe the visit as the “worst three days” of her life.
