Tolkien was fascinated with constructed languages. Quenya, Sindarin and Adûnaic are the most fully realised languages he created, but there are more. Quenya in particular is very popular among fans – they expanded upon the vocabulary and created Neo-Quenya, which allows for pretty normal conversations.
