Interesting fact:

The answer to our previous question is zero cm3. It doesn’t matter what the dimensions of the hole are, if it is a hole then it is empty and does not contain any earth. In theory, you can dig a hole straight down through the earth and come out the other side. However, for this to be considered possible in practice, a lot of concessions would have to be made, such as the earth having the same density throughout, and not having a very hot molten core!
