Did you know that Hawaii has its own Thanksgiving celebration that predates any others? It’s called "Makahiki" which means "year" in Hawaiian and it lasts for four whole months! It runs from October until February, during which time Hawaiians are forbidden to work. We're pretty sure most people wouldn't mind introducing Makahiki into their holiday schedules.
