Interesting fact:
The Mayflower had both pilgrims, traders and sailors aboard. The pilgrims called the other men ‘the strangers’ and the two groups did not always co-exist amicably. The sailors called the pilgrims ‘puke stockings’ because of their constant seasickness. And the fervently religious pilgrims often came into conflict with the sailors over their bad language and habits!
