One of his best outings, ‘The Great Escape’, focused on Allied soldiers and their attempts to escape imprisonment during the Second World War. McQueen’s famous motorbike escape scene took on a rather comical form of realism after the actor himself was actually pulled over and fined by the German police during the production.
