Santa’s Little Helper is the only Simpsons pet that had lasted through the whole series – so far at least! Homer gives the pet dog to the family after not having enough money to buy Christmas presents. He is a pretty intelligent pup and is even taken in by Mr. Burns to act as a guard dog for a while!
