‘Westworld’ was expensive to make. Like, very expensive. The first ten episodes of the show were said to cost $100 million, with $25 million of that going into the first episode alone. Nothing new for HBO, though. The pilot for ‘Game of Thrones’ cost $20 million and was then completely scrapped and reshot.
