The beach at Cannes has seen some other memorable scenes. In 2001, several actors staged a dead-pigeon fight inspired by the Happy Mondays. This included splattering onlookers nearby with fake blood. As you might expect, it didn’t go down too well with the organisers, who kicked the actors promptly off the beach.
