In 2012 scientists collected swabs from 60 different belly buttons and grew the bacteria in petri dishes. They found 2,368 different bacterial species. What’s even more astonishing: 1,458 of them might be completely knew to science. By the way, you should take more care of your office desk. On average, it contains 400 times more bacteria than a toilet!
