Interesting fact:

The famous song ‘As Time Goes By’ was chosen by the original playwright to be Ilsa and Rick’s love song. It was nearly cut from the movie when the producers wanted to use their own song. In the end, it was Bergman’s hair that ensured its place in the movie since she had already cut it for another role and couldn’t reshoot the ‘play it again’ scene!
