Michael Landon AKA ‘Pa’ may have had a slight case of ‘small man’s syndrome’, as he insisted on wearing boots that lifted him up four inches! Not only that, the vertically-challenged actor preferred scenes which elevated him above other members of the cast, which is why he is often seen on a step ladder, a staircase or even, in some cases, a mound of dirt.
