The Union Jack pops up on at least 23 flags from countries around the world. It still even appears on the flag of Hawaii! Another country which incorporates the Union Jack is the Turks and Caicos Islands, who for years featured igloos on their flag, despite being in the tropical Caribbean. The reason? The artist confused piles of salt (the island’s primary export) with houses made of ice. Classic.
