Music videos are now a super popular way to enjoy music – there are even whole channels dedicated to them. In fact they are a fairly new invention and became popular during the 1980s. Australia and New Zealand were the first countries to have TV shows dedicated to music videos. This is because those countries were too far away for musicians to travel to give live performances!
