Sherlock Holmes and Conan Doyle have some things in common. They both believe in fairies! In his latter life, Doyle was increasingly drawn to Spiritualism, and he also believed in ghosts. This led some contemporaries to question his mental health, arguing he really was, ‘away with the fairies’.
