‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ – the saying is certainly true of the Pantheon, which was destroyed twice and rebuilt each time. This remarkable building is still breaking records even in the 21st century, with it’s roof remaining the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome. Quite a few for something that was built around 126AD!
