Have you ever heard of crutch words? They are words we use to fill in time when we’re thinking of what to say. They include ‘basically’, ‘seriously’, ‘actually’, ‘like’ and ‘um’. A lot of the time we don’t even notice we’re using them but when we do they can make us seem nervous, unsure or confusing.
