Interesting fact:

The Jitterbug fad was in full swing around the time the Wizard of Oz was filmed. The producers even filmed a sequence where Dorothy, the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion do the dance! It was eventually cut from the movie over fears it would soon look dated.
