Interesting fact:

The man who plays Hopkins, Shane Black, is actually a screenwriter by trade. He had previously written Lethal Weapon! Having no real experience with acting, he was covertly hired as Hopkins so that could he could be available to write on-the-fly alterations to the script if needed. The guy has since become a rather successful director, with Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys and the new Predator film being credited to his name.
