Barack Obama is a huge fan of Earth, Wind & Fire. Shortly after he took office as US President, he invited the band to play at the White House and even paid personal tribute to band founder, Maurice White, following his death, writing “Only he could get everyone — old and young, black and white — to let the groove move them on the dance floor. He is the shining star in heaven tonight.”
