Did you know that technically you could still get imprisoned for treason in the UK? Treason is when are proven guilty of being disloyal to the monarch. The Treason Act was put into force in England in 1351 – and it is still in force today! Although no-one has been tried for treason since 1945 when William Joyce was tried for distributing anti-British propaganda during WWII.
