In 2010, students from the University of Mississippi seriously campaigned for the fish-like Admiral Ackbar to be adopted as the University’s new mascot. When Lucasfilm heard about this, they issued a statement, claiming that Ackbar was not available because he was leading the Rebel Alliance Fleet on a critical mission.
