Did you know that originally, Luke and Leia weren’t supposed to be siblings? Early on, there had been plans for a twin sister of Luke’s, but she was intended as a new character. However, when the screenplay for Episode VI was written, too many subplots had to be taken care of, so the new character was dropped, and Leia was made Luke’s sister.
