Interesting fact:
The word reindeer comes from the Old Norse word ‘hreinin’ which means horned animal. And caribou comes from a French word – snow shoveler! This is because caribou have to dig around in the snow for food. Reindeer have to learn fast in this harsh climate – within 90 minutes of being born baby reindeer can already run!
