Interesting fact:

Julaften is the name for Christmas Eve in Norway. Norwegians believe that mischievous spirits emerge on Julaften. This means that after dinner families will collect up all the brooms in the house and hide them. Otherwise the cheeky sprites might fly away on them! Norwegians also dance around the Christmas tree holding hands and singing Christmas carols.
