Some evening guidance from the U.S. Flag Code: you can fly the flag 24 hours a day, but at night it should be properly illuminated and easily recognizable by the casual observer. Also, the American flag should not be used as bedding, drapery or clothing. Otherwise, the custom is to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on stationary flag staffs and buildings.
