Interesting fact:

Betsy Ross is often credited for being the seamstress that designed the U.S. Flag, but this may well be historically inaccurate. There is in fact no evidence to suggest she made the first official flag in 1776 and there is even dispute as to whether she lived in Philadelphia’s popular Betsy Ross house. She probably did sew quite a few in her time though!
