One thing that is sometimes forgotten about Gandhi is his quick wit. When asked what he thought of Western Civilisation, he replied “I think it would be a good idea”. When Gandhi wasn’t making quips though, he was serious about the realisation of an independent India, writing thousands of letter and articles on the issue.
