Have you heard of the spooky Dyatov Pass Incident? In 1959, searchers in the Russian Ural Mountains found the abandoned campsite of a ski party of nine people that had gone missing for weeks. Sadly, the bodies of all nine hikers were eventually recovered, but what could explain the tent being torn in half from the inside, with several sets of footprints in socks or barefoot leading away into the snow? Some of the bodies suffered fracture wounds and one was missing her tongue. The case has become dubbed as the Dyatov Pass Incident, after the group’s leader, Igor Dyatov.
