Although many people mistakenly think that the Monster in Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” is called “Frankenstein,” he actually has no name. During a reading of the book, however, Shelley did refer to the Monster as “Adam,” which some believe to be a nod to the Garden of Eden and creation.
