Interesting fact:

The actors in the Wizard of Oz had to wear heavy old-fashioned prosthetics which caused some major problems. Ray Bolger, who played the Scarecrow, had lines on his face from the scarecrow mask that took more than a year to disappear! And the original actor of the Tin Man had to leave the production after an allergic reaction to aluminum.
