Interesting fact:
The funeral scene in the episode ‘The Message’ had real pain behind it. It aired right after the cast found out that ‘Firefly’ had been cancelled. Composer Greg Edmonson wrote the music for the funeral scene for that episode, but it was never used in the show. During the filming, the crew became good friends and spent much time together on the ship’s lounge set and not so much in their trailers.
