JFK’s application to Harvard was only five sentences long – his grades weren’t great and he certainly didn’t take his education that seriously. But his father was already a famous ambassador and friend of Franklin D. Roosevelt. In his application, he mainly emphasized the connections he could make by going to Harvard – which actually worked out since he was offered a place!
